The lazy, hazy CRAZZZZZZZZZZY Days of Summer

I haven't loved my blog in ages! SORRY! Sometimes, I wish I was Lily Spoonhead...she's got it MADE!
Not one single illegal, sugar or chemical laden morsel of food has passed my lips! Not ONE cheat, and I am so proud!

I haven't really needed a "daily plan" any more. My house is without any JUNK in the pantry/fridge/freezer, and my family is just really enjoying our new healthy lifestyle.
My anemia is gradually getting better from my massive G.I. Bleed in April, my doctor is just tickled with me! YAY!
My energy is at a record high, my pants are falling off of me! HOORAY! I may even get up enough courage to pull out my swimsuit from last year.
The Holt Farmer's Market is well underway, I have 12 talented, hand-picked artisans from the Mid-Michigan area who are AMAZING.

My Etsy store is rocking, my consignments are selling like hotcakes, my kiln runs all day, every day!
Annnd...my baby boy, my youngest child turned 9 years old yesterday.
YAY!

Day 17 - Got my EXERCISE in yesterday! *whew*

Yes, I planted this ENTIRE GARDEN yesterday! AAK! This was an area of our yard that had been neglected, to say the least. Last year, it was filled with brush, weeds, burr bushes. I lit the whole thing on FIRE...then spread about 6 yards of mulch over it, and let it set that way 'till.....YESTERDAY! All the plants that you see here are from various gardens in our yard. I split about 10 Hosta, 8 Iris, some True Geranium, some Brown Eyed Susans, some Salvia...as you can see, some of it isn't real tickled, but hey...I think it'll do just fine!
Today is another busy day. I have loads of packaging to do, some new glass designs inspired by my new garden, and tonight, we're having a community work night at the Holt Farmer's Market.

Rest In Peace, My Dear Ron

Another friend has lost his battle with AIDS. Please get tested. This disease revages your body, and your soul. RIP, my good friend, I hope your eternity is peaceful. I'll miss your laughter, your bitchiness, your gossip, your smile, and your blue eyes. I loved you, Ron.
ugh.
It's day 16, and I'll be taking my kids to the pool today. I'll return tomorrow with lots of pics.
Peace to all.

Day 15 - INDUCTION IS DONE! WOOHOO!

Meet my new tattoo design. I love this. Not sure exactly where to put it, however....I'm not going to get a tattoo in any place where it's not visible. Never *did* understand that logic. I may design some vines into it and wrap it around my shoulder, I dunno. Gonna continue to play with it.
IN OTHER NEWS: INDUCTION IS OVER! YAY! Today is day 15, one-half of one month back to low carb eating and I feel awesome! My friend Jade brought over some sushi that her mom made last night and I *did* have a little, but not a ton...can't resist. And how can fresh veggies, seaweed, rice, and fish be UNhealthy? 'eh?
OK SO:
Today's Plan:
Breakfast (eating right now)
Cottage cheese with fresh apricot, Splenda and Cinnamon (DELICIOUS..try it!)
Snack:

Smoked gouda, sunflower seeds, fresh ham
Lunch:
Tuna salad in a tomato (I really, REALLY want to like tuna fish) I'll report back
Snack:

Broccoli florets
Dinner:
Grilled cajun chicken breasts
Baked Cauliflower Casserole
Fresh Green Beans

WOOT! Summertime Concert Series! YAY!

Aaah, summer, how I love you. Last night, we attended the Concert In the Park, sponsored by the FANTASTIC Holt Arts council. This salsa band was absolutely phenominal. The sky was clear blue and without a cloud. 75 degrees, a light breeze. Just the perfect Michigan summer day. And we have many more to come! The summer is still young, although it goes by MUCH too fast for me.

I used to think that I might miss the seasons here in
Michigan, but now, I realize, no, I would not miss the snow.

TODAY'S PLAN:
Breakfast:
cottage cheese with cinnamon/splenda
Lunch:
Out to lunch with Matthew for a big salad
Snack:
Cheese and cherry tomatoes
Dinner:
Cube Steak and Chopped Salad and fresh Asparagus. MMM
PEACE.

YA BABY!

OUR NEW BABY

This is our new baby! We've had her for about a month now, and couldn't be happier. She's a brand new 2008 Harley Davidson Dynaglide Custom. How's that for a mouthful? We have since added a sissybar and some bags, and she looks even prettier. I love to ride with Kevin. I get soooo relaxed, that I can feel myself beginning to doze off on the back of the bike.
This year, for our vacation, we're going to pack up the sidebags with just enough junk to last us a few days, and hop from place to place, till we get to Lake Michigan. We will then flop down on the beach for a few days before riding home. Can't wait!
TODAY'S PLAN:
Today, I'm dying from cramps. D Y I N G. LIke, I might die. So, I'm going to freestyle today. I am ok for today without having a plan.

I skipped dinner last night. Came home from the board meeting and Kev and Matt wanted "Mommy's Famous Burgers"...well...the smell of the grease was grossing me out, and I just couldn't eat them.
Today, still no appetite. So far, anyhow. I'll report back. But I won't cheat.
Promise.

Have a great day!

Day 10! 10 DAYS!

Soon, I will be the Mudflap Model again. Long story...but hahhahahaha!
ANYHOW...Last night's dinner was baked Walleye and it was SO GOOD. I have a tiny rant about restaurants, however, and the crap that they call "salad". I'm not talking about mom and pop places, either. GOOD restaurants that have a kid in the kitchen, who opens a bag of perfectly squared off, BROWN lettuce, carrots, and radishes, tosses it on a plate with some cuke slices and some nasty tomatoes, and that's "SALAD". C'mon. I can do that at HOME (but I don't). Anyhow. I'm sending them back from now on.
end rant.
Sooooo...today is starting off rainy and gray, and that's fine with me! My gardens need it, and I'd like for Mother Nature to get this out of her system before the weekend. We have a DOOZIE ahead of us.
Today's Plan:

Breakfast:
faux french toast
Snack:
cukes and chz.
Lunch:
A DECENT SALAD ( grilled chicken and organic romaine)
Snack:
devilled eggs
Dinner:
Ribeye steaks
Grilled asparagus
sauteed 'shrooms
I can live with that.
PEACE.
